CHUCK

NBC Monday, at 800 ET

 PTC Summary:

Production Companies: Warner Bros. Television, Wonderland Sound & Vision
Producers: Joe Schwartz and Chris Fedak

NBC’s comic drama Chuck follows computer “nerd” Chuck Bartowski as he goes from being a computer service man to a CIA special agent overnight. Chuck’s college roommate Bryce went on to work for the CIA, where he collected some of the country’s most valued intelligence secrets. When a covert mission goes wrong Bryce is shot and killed; but before he expires he manages to send Chuck an e-mail containing the secrets. Chuck opens the e-mail and is exposed to the top secret information. The government, represented by special agent Sarah, teams up with Chuck and trains him to use his new knowledge to help the CIA.

Although it is clearly fantasy in nature, the violent content on Chuc can be excessive at times. Long, drawn-out fight scenes are common and often involve kung-fu style fighting and extravagant weaponry.

Sexual references and innuendo are common but not overwhelming. Chuck’s secret agent cover is that he is dating the attractive Sarah. The camera frequently shows slow motion shots of Sarah moving that have sexual overtones. Language such as “hell” and “damn” is common.

Chuck is not recommended for viewers under age 14.
